Champ is a compact and waterproof battery charger for charging lithium-ion (Li-ion) and lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. The battery charger is delivered preprogrammed. The charger can also be delivered with power supply software, giving a steady output of preset voltage level. The built-in microprocessor controls current and voltage during the charging process. The charger’s LEDs indicate the status of the charging process. The charging time and temperature of the charger are monitored throughout the charging process. The charging is limited in the event of defect cells or insufficient cooling etc
The Electric Storage Battery Company, which would one day become Exide Technologies, was founded by W.W. Gibbs in 1888. Gibbs, an executive at a prominent Gas company, saw the potential of electricity as a source of lighting, and set out on his own. He purchased the patents of Clement Payen, a French inventor who advanced electrical storage, and began transforming those ideas into reliable commercial products.
